Around twenty-five thousand households in southeastern Queensland were left experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events swept through the state, bringing powerful gusts hitting 109km/h.

Massive Ice Stones and Broad Damage

Locals reported giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7 centimeters in some areas. Weather authorities verified that multiple regions across Queensland had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a atmospheric system continued to draw in moisture against the shoreline.
